About

A free, fan-made tool that settles one question: of two players of the same game, who has the better stats?

What it does

You pick a game, enter two player names and confirm the right accounts. We fetch each player's public stats from the game's own data source, compare them stat by stat, and give you a score, a breakdown by category and a roast you can share. There is no account to create and nothing to install.

Where the numbers come from

Fortnite

Lifetime Battle Royale stats from public Fortnite profiles via api-fortnite.com. Fan-made. Not affiliated with Epic Games.

League of Legends

Rank, level and mastery from the Riot Games API; combat, farming and impact are averaged over each player's recent Summoner's Rift games. Am I Better Than isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games and all associated properties are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.

Dota 2

Career stats from public match data via OpenDota. Averages are per match over every match OpenDota has. Fan-made. Not affiliated with Valve. Dota 2 is a trademark of Valve Corporation.

PUBG: Battlegrounds

Lifetime stats over every mode and this season's ranked tier from the official PUBG API. Fan-made. Not affiliated with KRAFTON or PUBG Studios. PUBG, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS and all related logos are trademarks of PUBG Corporation or its affiliates.

Stats are fetched when someone compares a player and refreshed when that player is compared again. Player pages show when their stats were last fetched.

What it is not

Am I better than… is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Epic Games, Riot Games, Valve or KRAFTON, and game names and artwork belong to their owners. The verdict is a conversation starter built from public numbers, not a ranking or a judgement of skill: many stats are lifetime totals, so time played counts for a lot.

Your name on this site

Player pages and shared results only show what each game already makes public: a display name, a rank or level, and stats. If you would rather not have a page here, ask and it comes down. Send the link to the page.
